Woolworths confirms big change to its mango range

Woolworths has confirmed a huge change to its mango range, just in time for summer. The supermarket giant has revealed that it now selling a new variety of mangoes which feature a tiny, skinny seed. Woolworths will now sell Maha Bliss, a specially cultivated variety with a smaller seed, so consumers are getting more flesh in their fruit.

Woolworths is the only major supermarket to stock Maha Bliss, and it will be available in all stores in NSW, SA and Victoria, and most locations in Queensland. Director of Fruit & Veg Paul Turner: “While people are very familiar with Kensington Pride and Calypso mangoes, we actually have a dozen varieties of mango on offer over the season, including the lesser known Maha Bliss. Maha Bliss look a little bit different, like a long mango - however the unexpected twist is actually their incredibly thin seed, which means customers get more flesh for their buck.”

This year Woolworths has twelve varieties of mango on offer, including customer favorites Calypso, Kensington Pride and R2E2.
