On the New Zealand-themed partnership and product launch event held in Shanghai on the 30th of June, Zhang Jian, Chairman and CEO of Joy Wing Mau Group, and Jiang Shijie, President of Zespri Greater China, signed the "Strategic Sustainable Development Agreement".

This strategic cooperation upgrades to green environmental protection and sustainable development on the basis of China-New Zealand economic and trade cooperation after the two parties signed a five-year strategic partnership agreement in 2021.

Zespri is one of the most representative export companies in New Zealand. Since Zespri entered the Chinese market, Joy Wing Mau and Zespri have established a long-term friendly strategic partnership of mutual trust, mutual benefit, and win-win results, and have become Zespri Kiwifruit’s largest single customer in the world.

At the "Sustainable Development and Climate Change Forum" held in Beijing on the 28th, Joy Wing Mau and Zespri signed the "Zespri Strategic Sustainable Collaboration Agreement". As a core strategic partner of the Zespri ecosystem, Joy Wing Mau will work with Zespri to promote environmentally friendly packaging and gradually make its packaging sustainable within three years. At the same time, Joy Wing Mau will combine its own earth-friendly strategy that has been practiced for many years to create a greener fruit industry chain from the field to the dining table in the four major links of ecological planting, environmentally friendly packaging, green storage, and energy-saving transportation, as well as driving upstream and downstream partners to work together and fulfill the responsibility of ecological environment protection.

Small fruits make great friends. China is a crucial overseas market for New Zealand's agricultural products. Since the upgrading of the China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, new policies such as tariff reductions, easy customs clearance measures, and more cooperation fields have brought more convenience and benefits to the trade between the two countries.

Next year will usher in the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and New Zealand. Joy Wing Mau, as a leading enterprise in China's fruit industry and the largest distributor of New Zealand fruits in the Chinese market, will further strengthen the economic and trade cooperation with New Zealand partners represented by Zespri and Rockit.
