South African Cape Sweet organic sweet potatoes are widely available at the Dutch company Organic Cape again. "These sweet potatoes are of excellent quality. Once harvested, they're kept in cold storage for two weeks to reach top quality and shelf life," says Organic Cape's Leo Stoker.
"We've had faith in the opportunities South Africa offers for years. Since it's in the southern hemisphere, South Africa's seasons are opposite to the Netherlands. The climatic location is unique, the soil in South Africa is rich in minerals, and the people are knowledgeable, driven, and very helpful. Our growers are GlobalGAP, organic, and SIZA certificated. All the ingredients for beautiful, tasty products."
These sweet potatoes come in S, M, L, and XL. "We should get supplies until late September. Organic Cape has partnered with Van de Weerd Pompoenen, also in the Netherlands, for sorting and packaging. They sort mechanically and can package the sweet potatoes in various packaging. They can also be laser packaged as required," Leo concludes.
