Interfresh Eurasia returns to Antalya September 28-30

In the last week of September, a new edition of Interfresh Eurasia will be held in Turkey. According to Murat Ozer, general manager at Antexpo, he expects more participating countries than last year.

“InterFresh Eurasia will be held for the fourth time in Antalya Anfaş, on September 28-30. This event is the only exhibition for the fruit and vegetable sector in Turkey, so Antalya functions as the centre of both domestic and foreign sector representatives. In addition to the procurement committee program this year; countries such as Russia, Germany, Spain, Greece, Italy, Nigeria, the Netherlands and Iran will be participating with stands. In the 2022 season, we brought together foreign buyers from 42 countries with our fair participants. This year, 27 countries have already given approval for participation, and we expect a purchasing delegation from over 50 countries.”

The 2022-edition of Interfresh was a return to old form, as the event had not been held for two years due to the coronavirus, Ozer explains. “As you know, the pandemic that started in 2019 affected us, as well as the whole world. Unfortunately, we had to take a break for two years. This meant that 2022 was very important for us, as we returned after the long break. In the 2022 edition, we welcomed the same number of participants as the previous exhibition, before the pandemic. However, the international promotion went much better than we expected, we promoted the exhibition in 52 countries with the support of our agencies, marketing team and foreign trade attachés. As a result, international visitors from 42 different countries participated.”

Since last year was successful, Ozer states that it was important to bring even more countries to the table: “This year, the important thing for us was to create brand awareness and bring together the components of the sector in Antalya. Despite there still being four months remaining from today, the exhibition has grown by more than 20 per cent in terms of both visitors and exhibitors. The recurring theme of Interfresh Eurasia 2022 events, congresses and conferences was climate change and green transformation. We aim to bring sector leaders together with the main theme of ‘climate change and green transformation’ by saying what we can do on a sectoral basis regarding the climate crisis that has affected the whole world this year.”

Ozer emphasizes that the VIP-program will continue. With the package, you’ll be picked up from the airport and taken care of during the event: “This year, the ‘VIP visitor delegation program’ will continue. Within the scope of this program, the VIP package will be given to the people who will reach us from this link, if they qualify. The only thing our visitors have to do within the scope of VIP package is to purchase the flight ticket and send us the landing times. The whole process after that will be organized by us for the VIP. Many surprise VIP privileges such as two nights in a 5-star hotel accommodation, VIP transfer service between the hotel, the fair and the airport, a gala dinner with the participants, and VIP badges that provide access to the VIP areas at the exhibition are organized for our visitors. We will be waiting for our visitors with Turkish hospitality on September 28-30,” Ozer concludes.
