The 13th edition of the Aneberries International Congress will be held in July at Expo Guadalajara

Mexico's berry sector continues to grow

The 13th edition of the Aneberries International Congress will be held at Expo Guadalajara from July 26 to 28, 2023. Once again, the event will bring together prominent researchers from the sector who will make a total of 20 presentations aimed at the trade union with a focus mainly on Safety, Phytosanitary, Sustainability, and Trade.

Jose Luis Bustamante Fernandez, president of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Berry Exporters (Aneberries), said that “with 13 years of experience, the Aneberries International Congress seeks to continue strengthening the ties that unite the sector. In this edition, we are bringing together 200 suppliers of inputs and services with the more than 2,500 producers, field technicians, and decision-makers that are attending the event. The event will include networking activities, such as a welcome cocktail and dinner show,” he said.

It's worth noting that Mexico's berry production continues to increase. In 2022, the country produced 790,470 tons of berries in 55,400 hectares, 562,102 tons of which were destined for export.
