Intech Worldwide GmbH to put new building into operation in the course of the year

Sustainable large-scale factory for reusable systems and pallets to be built in Hanover, Germany

A new large-scale factory with over 22,000 sqm of production and storage space for reusable systems and sustainable pallets is being built at the Hannover-West Autobahn interchange (A2/A352). Intech Worldwide GmbH has been successfully producing in Hanover-Marienwerder since 2008, but due to an above-average expansion of the company, the old factory has simply become too small. In Hannover-Stöcken, the plastics processor Intech was able to secure an industrial site with 30,500 square meters and start construction in 2022.

The new site is now scheduled to be occupied in 2023. For managing partner Vedat Pehlivan, the choice of location was a matter of the heart, as he has close roots in the Hanover region. Intech Worldwide GmbH's 21 injection molding machines are moving with the company. A feat of strength, considering that the largest systems weigh over 180 tons.

Impression of the new building

Sustainable in all aspects with the new factory
"Reusable instead of disposable" is the company's motto. The reusable packaging produced is durable, reused for many years and 100% recycled at the end of its service life.

Disposable packaging, such as cardboard boxes or films, is thus replaced in a climate-friendly way and the CO2 balance is sustainably improved. In the new factory, waste heat from the injection molding machines is used to heat the building and generate hot water. Green electricity is produced via a new photovoltaic system with an output of 1,500 kWp (kilowatt peak). This is how solar energy is used to produce reusable packaging. This is climate-friendly and the way to an ecological future.

Green plastics thanks to consistent recycling management
With its "Intech Green" sustainability program, the company focuses on the use of high-quality recycled materials made from 100% PCR plastics. Post consumer recycled (PCR) materials are recycled plastics from household or commercial waste, a large proportion of which is packaging. Intech processes over 11,000 metric tons annually and gives these valuable raw materials a new lease on life - in the spirit of the circular economy.

Insights into the current construction progress

Hidden Champion
Intech has once again been awarded the "CrefoZert" credit rating certificate by Creditreform: "This makes Intech one of the companies with the highest credit rating in the Hannover region and among the top 2% of all companies nationwide. [...] The company from the north of Hannover can now be titled a 'hidden champion' in the field of reusable transport packaging."
