In Kazakhstan, in the foothills, growers are concerned about the sale of the crop

Last year, growers in the foothills harvested and stored almost 23.4 thousand tons of apples, which is enough to fully meet the needs of the region's inhabitants for vitamins and iron until the end of spring, when early varieties of fruits appear on the shelves.

In the region, one can observe both traditional and intensive gardening (1263 hectares). And in total, 3,365 hectares are occupied by apples, pears, and stone fruit gardens in the region.

The main areas for orchards are set aside in the foothills. In winter, when frost sets in on the plains, the air temperature in the mountains is always five to seven degrees higher. This helps to prevent the freezing of fruit trees. Garden crops tolerate snow and frost better than sharp temperature fluctuations. Proper and timely use of technologies allows you to save trees in the conditions of snowy and frosty winters.

“All orchards winter well, there are no problems with this. The harvest last year was not as big as we expected. But all the products have not yet been fully sold,” says the gardener Valery.

The main problem for gardeners is the sale of the resulting products. Not every farm has storage facilities, so many gardeners try to sell their crops at low prices. As a result, resellers get the main profit.
