Granada increased its exports of subtropical products by 33% up to July

According to data collected from the Technical Assistance and Inspection Centre for Foreign Trade, a body of the Ministry of Economy, up until July, companies located in the province of Granada have exported about 18 million kilos of subtropical products to the EU, i.e. 32.89% more than the 13.5 million kilos they exported in the same period last year.

The most exported subtropical product in the first 7 months of the year was the avocado, as the region exported more than 13,726 tons of avocado compared to 9,890 tons in the previous season. Avocado exports were led by the Hass variety with 8,700 tons.

Avocado was followed by cherimoya, although the export volume from January to July slightly decreased from 2,410 tons in the previous campaign to 2,308 tons in this one.

The mango was the product with the highest growth (more than 59%) as it went from 1,206 tons to 1,916 tons in the campaign that has just ended.
