Despite dry summer in Croatia:

Istrian grape harvest promises quality fruit

Despite the long period of drought which has threatened Croatian fruit and vegetable production this summer, the Istrian grape harvest is promising to deliver high quality fruit. The grapes appear to be healthy and the yields, although slightly lower, are of good quality as the recent rains have replenished the berries and mitigated most of the losses.

While the Istrian grape harvest is going on and appears to be quite successful, offering a very welcome breath of fresh air to growers, other plantations of various fruit and vegetables haven't been so lucky in parts of the country. In Dalmatia in particular, there are some problems with the olives.
