The dramatic water emergency that is affecting our country is one of the side effects of the climate crisis that has been going on for several years now. Many are the attempts and business ideas aimed at solving or at least mitigating the water issue. In this direction, Water Safe is the latest project in the context of water saving. Launched by Perfarelalbero.it, the well-known e-commerce of products for agriculture, which has embarked on environmental sustainability as part of its mission thanks to the dialogue between producers and growers.
As a result, this is a real catalog where it is possible to find different categories of products, (such as dripline, useful insects, power packs, chemical solutions, etc.), helpful in saving the water resource.
"Understanding the needs of all stakeholders in the sector pushes us to constantly search for innovative solutions to the critical issues that farmers will have to face, often even moving ahead of the times," said Micaela Avignone, who created the project and is at the head of the e-commerce. "Today we know with certainty that we have wasted and polluted an appalling amount of water, the scarcity of which now forces us to have to review our choices, before it is too late."
"On a daily basis, I ask myself how I can help prevent water waste. In these weeks of drought emergency, we have searched for the answer with my team and thus created Water Safe, a project that aims to raise awareness among agricultural professionals about sustainable and thrifty management of the water resource, given that about 70 percent of global consumption is used for crops, so agriculture is the first sector to be affected by the drought emergency, with not a few damages on the harvest. Preserving the water, we still benefit from is a top priority."
"The Water Safe project is a selection of products, tips and techniques that prioritize natural processes in agriculture and irrigation, as well as helping to manage the water resource optimally and without waste. With Water Safe we also offer free assistance and advice thanks to technical experts, advising those who would like to rethink and review their choices with a view to saving water. We have identified dozens of products used during normal agronomic management, which at the same time also allow water rationalization of up to 80 percent."
