The Port of Natal, which earlier had a problematic name regarding fruit exports, has now, at the start of a new harvest, become a positive factor.
With the mark of 80% of the fruits exported by the Northeast, the port, has a strong argument over the other Northeast ports: it manages to get the goods to the European ports one day sooner than the competition.
This year, in addition to melon, the volume of watermelon shipped here will be expressive. Next year, there is the prospect of exporting lemons, which are migrating from the south to there, due to the plagues that are making this culture unfeasible in the central south.
