HM Distribution, an import-export company based at Rungis, has invested in new infrastructures in order to increase its conservation and storage capacities. The construction work began over a month ago and should end in a couple of weeks. ”First of all, we are covering the entire sales area in order to store our products in more optimal conditions. Our goal is to provide an impeccable choice and quality to our clients. This way, we will also be able to expand our range and develop imports,” explains Alessandro Cholet, import director at HM Distribution.
New refrigerators where each product can benefit from a specific and better adapted temperature. “This gives more coherence to our operations because the products are classified by family, which is also more suitable for the buyer visiting our storage fridges. And we will be able to keep our products better, avoiding storage problems such as rotting for example.”
The process to obtain the FeL PARTNERSHIP certification is underway
In parallel with the expansion of the storage facilities, HM Distribution has started the process to obtain the FeL PARTNERSHIP certification. “We already had a FeL Commitment agreement, but we have now hired a certifier to help us control the products, respect the quality standards and follow the regulations in order to obtain the certification by the end of this summer.”
“These investments for better storage and a certification will allow us to serve all kinds of clients, from wholesalers and traditional market sellers to some delicatessen stores in the heart of Paris, therefore consolidating, as an expert, our commitment for quality dating back to 1945.”
