Fruit exported to Europe grew 6.05%

Brazil: Port of Natal cargo handling increased 9.19% in first half of 2022

The Port of Natal handled 277,910 tons in the first half of 2022. The growth was 9.19% compared to the same period last year, when 254,518 tons were handled. The highlight was the increase in fruit exported to Europe , which grew 6.05% with 95,527 tons shipped. In the same period in 2021, the volume of the product handled was 90,075 tons.

It should be noted that the Port of Natal has fruit exports as its main highlight, being the largest of all the terminal's movement. The numbers show the know-how that the Port of Natal has in supporting the handling for shipment of this product. Added to this, wheat imports complement the numbers.
