Food security and sustainability discussed at Global Agribusiness Forum 2022

The Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Derivatives (ABRAFRUTAS) in joint action with other entities in the agro sector, promotes on July 25 and 26, 2022, in São Paulo, at the Sheraton WTC Hotel, the fifth edition of Global Agribusiness Forum (GAF). Considered as one of the main agribusiness meetings in the world, the event aims to bring together the main national and international agribusiness decision makers to find objective, profitable and sustainable solutions for global food production.

Climate change, pandemic, war are one of the great current challenges that world agriculture has faced. The topics to be discussed at the event will be purposeful to face these and other national and international challenges in agribusiness.

According to Abrafrutas, the Brazilian fruit industry, even in the face of these existing challenges, has worked hard to continue with large-scale production in order to feed the world population. In addition to the efforts in the works, the use of technologies has been essential for this. The example of irrigated agriculture that allows the production of high quality fruits in all regions of Brazil and in off- season periods .
