60% of Camposol's citrus production comes from Uruguay

Camposol reported that 60% of its citrus production comes from Uruguay. "It allows us to supply our customers for a long period of time, as it complements the Peruvian offer," they stated.

The Peruvian agro-industrial company started betting on Uruguay in 2018 when it acquired 1,000 hectares in the department of El Salto to produce citrus, a region that is becoming increasingly more strategic for the growth of the company.

The Uruguayan participation will continue to grow, as the newly installed fields enter a stage of productive maturity. The new plantations in Uruguay are planted with easy-peeler and seedless varieties, which are what the market demands.
