BerryWorld supporting a school workshop initiative at Houses of Parliament and sponsoring Ukraine charity concert

BerryWorld continues supporting the Skip2Bfit team at MP challenge at the Houses of Parliament to raise awareness on importance of an active lifestyle and healthy eating and sponsoring a fund-raising concert for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

BerryWorld were happy to support partner Skip2Bfit at MP challenge at Houses of Parliament on last Wednesday, 11th May. Over 600 MPs were invited to take part in the Skip2Bfit challenge organised by John McCormack’s team to mark Skip2Bfit 20-year anniversary of delivering their innovative workshops nationally.

The aim of the event was to raise awareness of Skip2Bfit and prove that anyone, regardless of age or ability can take part in skipping as a healthy exercise. By inviting the MPs to come along the team aimed to ensure Skip2Bfit workshops were taken to as many constituencies as possible and to make the Government more aware of how important the funding is.

Prizes of Skip2bfit workshops sponsored by partners BerryWorld and WinterWood Farms as well as kitbags, to give to a school in their constituency, were awarded to the top three MPs and one for ‘Best effort’.

Sponsoring Rock for Ukraine to raise funds for Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal
On the same day, BerryWorld was proud to sponsor in London a charity event organised by Gemserv to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

At the event, hosted at Slug & Lettuce in Aldgate for over 200 friends and colleagues two amazing bands were showcased: The Red Sticks and Go with the Flo.

The BerryWorld CSR team donated £500 to fund the sound equipment and engineer for the concert, which was a successful and fun night raising over £7,000 for the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
