Fresco Senso to introduce packed unwashed berries

Known as a fresh-cut brand, Fresco Senso is now introducing packed unwashed berries. The new range will be presented at Marca in Bologna (April 12-13, 2022) and will include raspberries, blackberries and blueberries available to both big retail chains and the restaurant sector. Great attention is paid to sustainability: 125 g R-Pet plastic packets contain at least 80% of recycled plastic. The project was set up in collaboration with BerryWay.

Massimiliano Moretti

"Attending Marca with Fresco Senso is a great satisfaction for us. And it is an even greater satisfaction to launch our packed unwashed range. Thanks to the collaboration with BerryWay, we have created a berry range that includes raspberries, blackberries and blueberries which are not only nice to eat, as they are good for our health too thanks to their recognized antioxidant properties. Production will be guaranteed 12 months a year and the produce will be destined to big retail chains and the restaurant sector," commented Massimiliano Moretti, sales manager at Agribologna.

The project starts at Marca but is set to grow with additions that will be presented over the next few months.

"For Fresco Senso, Marca is an occasion to find new partners, markets and products for the big retail chain and H&R sector as we continue to develop and grow."

The new range was created together with BerryWay and the project was supported by four leading companies to create a network of national and international producers and guarantee supplies throughout the year.

"Starting with South Africa, Peru and Chile during the colder months and moving on to Spain and Italy, BerryWay manages production so that the produce is available all year round. We are increasingly trying to extend the campaign of the Italian produce investing on production in the south of the country, especially in Apulia, Calabria and Sicily," added BerryWay director Romualdo Riva.
