The January to April 2022 production of bananas in the EU is forecast at 224.314 tons, which is slightly higher than that of the previous year.
Prices of bananas produced in the EU and marketed outside their region of production are forecast at €1.45 for bananas from Portugal, which is at the high end. Produce from Greece and Spain is forecast at €0.97 and €0.95 per kg, respectively.
