AGQ Labs has a new agri-food laboratory in Almeria

The new laboratory of the Andalusian multinational in Palomares, in the municipality of Cuevas del Almanzora, will be fully operational from January 31. This new production center joins the laboratories that the company has in Seville and Madrid, which offer analytical services and specialized advice in agriculture, food production and distribution, mining, pharmaceutical production, and environmental control services for all types of industries and institutions.

This new agri-food laboratory in Almeria offers a global service to companies in the fruit and vegetable sector in the southeast and east of Spain. This new location offers specialized services in the analysis of pesticide residues, post-harvest quality analysis, and other specific analyzes for fruits and vegetables.

In addition, the new location in Almeria will also offer complementary analytical services of great importance for producers and exporters in the area. They will offer health alerts, specialized microbiology, heavy metal analysis, critical point analysis control, and agronomic water, foliar, or soil analysis, among other things.

Agricultural producers in the area will be able to enjoy more closely the strong benefits that the Crop Nutritional Monitoring service can offer them. They will also have direct access to the wide accredited analytical variety of all the group's laboratories, both for agri-food services and environmental control solutions.

AGQ Labs' new facilities in Almeria have more than 250 square meters, various analytical equipment for liquid chromatography (LC-MS/MS), gas chromatography (GC-MS/MS) with mass spectrometry, and they are the only laboratory highly specialized in the analysis of pesticide residues in the area. From this new location, the producers of Murcia and Almeria will have the best analytical technology just a few minutes from their farms.
