Dutch company gets two new Scanias, with six more on order

"We've worked hard to get the team ready for further sales growth"

Jeroen van den Brink and a partner founded Brimafruit more than ten years ago. For transport, this Dutch company opted for two DAF tractor-trailer combinations. Over the years, their activities have expanded. And now, they transport their products in one rigid truck and ten tractor-trailer combinations. In mid-April 2021, the company traded in two of their DAF tractors for new Scania S500s. That worked out so well that on Friday, January 7, they took delivery of two more Scanias.

They bought these via Scania Gaanderen in the Netherlands. And, once again, chose the S500. Brimafruit is very satisfied with Scania's service and the garage in Gaanderen. "These are excellent vehicles. Besides that, they're very comfortable and offer much driving pleasure. And have good fuel consumption results. All that means it's an all-around terrific vehicle," says Jeroen.

Last year, the company worked hard to prepare itself and its team for further sales growth. A great deal of attention was therefore paid to optimizing the various business processes.

They hired a transport planner in mid-October. That was to improve the overseeing of transport planning. "Niels Elfrink has strengthened our team in that position."

"He had done this kind of planning for many years. That was at a large, well-known refrigerated transport company," says Jeroen. "So, he knows all the ins and outs."

"We're experiencing one of the largest pandemics of all time. Under such circumstances, it's great to see that our team is so single-minded focused on one thing: moving forward. We have an extensive range of quality products and good service. That's proven to be of great added value for all our customers in the Netherlands, Scandinavia, and Germany. We're steadily building on these focal points," he concludes.

Brimafruit has placed an order for six more Scania S500s for the end of 2022. That will ensure the fleet's continuity.
