Agerpix, a company devoted to precision agriculture, was awarded the top prize of The Call Agro, an initiative of Banco Santander to promote startups that allow the digitization and sustainability of the agri-food sector. The Call Agro was held on October 20 and Agerpix presented its concept proposal to show its viability and the different ways to create synergies with Banco Santander, thus providing greater added value to its customers.

Agricultural companies have become accustomed to working with high levels of uncertainty. Each season, the different departments make important decisions based on inaccurate harvest predictions that affect costs and product quality. To improve this situation, the sector needs digitization proposals such as the information service proposed by Agerpix.
Using Agerpix's OnFruit 360 system, producers can gauge their plantations to know the amount of fruit, vigor, and leafiness of their crops, among other data, with a 95% accuracy. Producers can access all this information through an application, where they can measure, compare, and control different indices, that the different areas of a company can use to make decisions. The system allows producers to better manage their plantations, make more accurate predictions for the logistics and sales teams, or determine how much labor or supplies must be allocated part of the plantation according to the state of the fruit. The solutions offered by this application help use resources more efficiently, reducing emissions of phytosanitary products, decreasing the amount of water and fertilizers used, among other things, favoring the sustainability of crops, companies, and the planet.
Winning The Call Agro will allow Agerpix and Banco Santander to provide greater added value to their clients and to make digitization accessible to the largest number of plantations in the fruit sector through a wide variety of financing conditions.
