Agrocolor Caribe to certify Dominican producers willing to export to international markets

In its mission to support, promote and defend the national agricultural production, the Dominican Agribusiness Board (JAD) has partnered with Agrocolor, one of the leading international certification companies, to offer its services to the country's fruit and vegetable producers. Agrocolor Caribe was recently established in order to cover the region's certification needs.

Strategic alliance
This will allow national producers and companies to have the best certification and auditing services from one of the leading firms in this field. In terms of volume, Agrocolor is the world's main GlobalGAP certifier for fruit and vegetable crops.

Currently, the Dominican Republic aims for the expansion and promotion of domestic products that meet the requirements and quality standards of the international markets. The certification services offered by Agrocolor Caribe will be of great help for exporters to accredit production methods meeting the required standards.

GlobalGAP
Undoubtedly, the most important certification to have in order to be ready for the challenge of selling Dominican fruits and vegetables in global markets is GlobalGAP, as it is the most widespread Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) scheme in the world. The organic certification for producers and exporters is also arousing great interest within the sector, as the rising demand from the markets is giving a boost to this kind of crops.

Agrocolor Caribe will have a busy agenda in the country during the month of September. It aims to learn about the needs of local producers and find out what services are already available to them.
