In less than a week, the organic fresh produce community will be getting together in person in Monterey, CA for the Organic Produce Summit 2021. With 1,200 people having registered, the event is sold out. “Given the current situation across the globe, we capped the number of attendees at 1,200,” said Matt Seeley, co-founder and CEO of the Organic Produce Network. “We’ve got a tremendous event planned and wish we could accommodate all those who want to attend.”
The organization has made it a priority to keep attendees safe. “We strive to host a safe and responsible show and therefore are announcing that masks will be required during indoor activities,” says Susan Canales, President of the Organic Produce Summit. Although Monterey County has a very high vaccination rate and no mask mandate, the organization of OPS decided to make some changes to its initial health and safety protocol. “We realize attendees will be coming in from across the country,” Canales mentioned. “In order to hold a safe and comfortable event, we’d ask for everyone to mask up indoors.”
OPS is looking forward to seeing everyone in person next week.
