UDEX Logistics opened for business on Wednesday, September 1st, in the Netherlands. This is a brand new but experienced logistics service provider. It specializes in urgent transports and special deliveries within Europe. But it also provides regular transportation all over the world. "We got requests right away, which was exciting. And we could immediately show that at which we excel," says the company's Rick van 't Hag. "We do a lot of fruit and vegetables. However, we can transport anything except animals."
Within ten minutes
The business is in its infancy. But, Rick and his associates Jarno Zandhuis and Miranda Roelofs, have years of experience. They have many logistics sector connections too. All three used to work for similar companies. They eventually chose to start their own business.
"With UDEX Logistics, we want to go back to truly customized service," says Rick. "Where the customer has a single, personally involved contact person throughout. Our speed also genuinely differentiates us. We recently got a request for bringing two pallets from England to the Netherlands. Within ten minutes, I could give the client a customized proposal."
“No isn't an option”
UDEX Logistics stands for Urgent Delivery Express Logistics. It is an independent logistics service provider. The company has contacts in many European (urgent) transporters. "However, say, someone has a single load of apples that needs to be urgently transported to Macedonia. We're happy to do that."
"We want to be able to offer a complete package where everything is possible. For example, companies are slightly reluctant to export to the UK. But, thanks to our local contacts, we can arrange sea or air transportation. We don't shy away from any challenge. And 'no' isn't an option," concludes Rick.
