Kiwi Passion Consortium - a passion for excellence

The upcoming harvest of the varieties marketed by the Kiwi Passion® Consortium promises a significant increase in in terms of volumes for both red and yellow flesh kiwi.

"Most of our orchards - the managers of the Consortium say - will reach their full crop this season and the first estimations made by our technicians show excellent yields per hectare with a significant dry matter values, with and an overall production which will double the quantities marketed in the 2020/21 campaign despite the difficulties deriving from both spring frosts and not optimal summer climatic conditions."

"Our targets remain unchanged: to deliver to the market the highest quality product, a unique and inimitable taste combined with a deep sense of respect for the environmental themes, not only about the solutions adopted for all production processes but also on new packaging solutions as well, in order to create a sustainable packaging. In fact, the new retail packaging will be 100% compostable, to adhere to the change which is constantly requested by both consumers and distribution operators".

Gold Passion

The Consortium's assortment proposal includes, in addition to the bulk product in 5 kg box - and the 1,8 kg trays for Red Passion® and 3 kg for Gold Passion® - a new retail package of 200 to 300 grams, designed to convey the brand awareness and create value and image at the point of sale.

Red Passion

"We are convinced that the future of kiwifruit must go through a process of rebirth" says President Nicola Negri, "and our main goal is to continue investing on innovation, both varietal and technical, supporting and encouraging our farmers to grow fruits with an exceptional quality fit to stand out in an increasingly competitive and demanding market."

Marketing will begin by early October for the Red Passion® variety and mid-November for Gold Passion® one and the first volumes will be available to a limited number of large-scale retail customers, mainly in Italy and Europe, along with various tests in the overseas markets, such as the USA, Canada and South America.

Kiwi Passion® looks forward to your visit at the next edition of Macfrut 2021, from September 7th into 9th, at Hall D, booth # 193.
