Official supplier of the Tour de France for the second year in a row, the bananas of Guadeloupe & Martinique were collected this year for the benefit of the Restos du Coeur charity of Indre-et-Loire.

100 bananas offered for each cyclist passing the KM 97 in Ecueillé.

The day started at the Tour de France Village in downtown Tours, with a quiz on the Podium reserved for the public. It was the opportunity to learn more about the Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique, and goodies were distributed to the winners.

The Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique was honored by a tasting with Jean-Christophe Michelet, twice world jam maker champion of Confituriers 2019. For the event, he created a special jam from bananas of Guadeloupe & Martinique, together with Frédéric Jaunault, MOF Primeur Fruit and Vegetables 2011 and ambassador of the Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique.
