The Jingold kiwifruit production campaign continues in Chile and Argentina. Fruits are grown according to strict technical specifications in order to guarantee high quality standards.
"For 2021, the Chilean Kiwifruit Committee confirmed a reduction in Hayward volumes, while the production of Jintao golden kiwifruits is in line with last year, or actually slightly higher. In the meantime, our development project in Argentina is going well. The volumes of organic Jingold kiwifruits - both green and golden - from Argentina have quadrupled since last year," reports Jingold director Alessandro Fornari.

Golden kiwifruits come from the San Fernando and Curicò area, a central region in Chile not too far from the Andes.
Producers grow these fruits with passion and dedication in the proximity of vineyards where San Fernando, one of the best Chilean wines, is produced. Here, Jingold agronomists guarantee the full compliance of the fruits grown in the southern hemisphere with the strict quality standards of the EU.
Despite the difficulties linked with the pandemic, the current productive season confirms the quality standards obtained thanks to the characteristics of the territory of origin and the strict quality checks performed by Jingold.
In Argentina, orchards are located in the Mar del Plata region, an area particularly suitable for fruit cultivation.
"Our South-American partners have already harvested and packaged as planned despite the difficulties linked to Covid and guaranteeing high safety standards to workers. The first containers have already arrived to the main destination markets such as China, Europe and the US."
The excellent quality of the Jingold produce harvested in Chilean and Argentinian areas is confirmed by Harry XU, director of Jingold China: "We are thrilled with how the Chinese market has responded to the first golden kiwifruits. People are more and more interested and consumption is on the up. We are very proud we can still supply clients after the end of the excellent Italian season."
