Sampling the fruits directly from the plants is enough to see just how tasty they are, whatever the variety.

Over the years, table tomatoes have developed to meet chain needs. Taste was often put to the side to focus more on shelf life, grades and yields.

However, Azienda Agricola Russo is living proof of the fact it is possible to combine high quality with the standards requested by the big retail chains without renouncing to flavor. There is no room for the term 'commodity' here!

The produce grown by the company, which is located a stone's throw from the sea in Marina di Acate (RG), is healthy and boasts a lively color. It has that something more that has it placed among niche products.

The leading products are red and yellow plum tomatoes, mini ribbed tomatoes, salad tomatoes and mini San Marzano. The company covers two hectares of high-tech greenhouses with high vaults equipped with fans and a computerized irrigation system.

Sensors measure temperature and humidity. The production process is sustainable and employs pollinator bumblebees and useful insects. Tomatoes are produced ten months a year.

The "I Piccoli Gourmet" range is a careful selection of the products commercialized under the "Dennys", "Russo Azienda Agricola" and "Perla d'Oro" brands.
