The International Strawberry Symposium 2024 will be held in China, as decreed by the ISHS delegates who met on 4 May by video conference during the Symposium 2021. The Chinese delegates were very keen on this return, after the 2012 edition in Beijing.
The pandemic situation prevented other nations, especially those from South America, from being able to plan ahead, so the other candidacies soon fell through.
It is also worth mentioning that China fully deserved its comeback. More than 400 delegates out of a total of almost 900 registered for the current edition.
