The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) has released the 2020 trade performance review, that sheds light on South Africa’s trade performance of agricultural products, relative to the prior year.

The leading product exported were edible fruits and nuts, meanwhile, cereals exports recorded the highest growth rate of 98.3% for the year, coinciding with SA’s second-largest maize production. Imports from Germany declined while exports to Namibia and Botswana also declined.
