Peruvian banana shipments exceeded 25.6 million dollars in the first two months of 2021

According to the data provided by the Agrodata Peru website, Peru exported 36,414,873 kilos of bananas for a FOB value of 25,684,995 dollars between January and February 2021, this is slightly lower than the 38,121,287 kilos worth $ 26,466,627 it exported in the same period of 2020.

According to the report, the main destination in January and February of 2021 was the Netherlands, with placements worth $8,230,000. It was followed by the United States with $ 5,501,000, Panama with $ 4,021,000, Belgium with $ 2,481,000, South Korea with $ 1,559,000, and Germany with $ 957,000.

The main exporting companies in the sector were Cooperativa Agraria APPBOSA with sales of 2,404,190 dollars, Andean Natural Products Export Import SAC with 1,621,357 dollars, Pronatur EIRL with 1,620,692 dollars, the Association of Small Organic Producers of Querecotillo with 1,246.247 dollars, Cooperativa Agraria APBOSMAN with 1,180,896 dollars, Capebosan-Jibito with 1,135,414 dollars, and Bananica SAC with 1,013,792 dollars, among others.
