Qatar Ministry to implement GCC specifications on imported produce

Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality and Environment organised an online forum for the suppliers of fruits and vegetables on the importance of compliance with the GCC Standard Specifications for imported products.

This activity is coordinated with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) Food Safety Department and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The forum reviewed the GCC specific standards for fruits and vegetables to ensure their safety and quality, and experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Safety of MME answered questions.

It is reiterated that imported fruits and vegetables should have good color and shape, acceptable maturity, and in addition to insects and insects, the product declaration card should be packaged appropriately.

According to gulf-times.com¸ experts from the Ministry of Agricultural Affairs organized training workshops on GCC standards for officials and employees at various customs points in the country.
