BMEL: Eggs, fruit and vegetables still most popular

Organic goods continue to boom, thanks in part to the 'organic' label

n 2020, consumers made more conscious and targeted purchases. In doing so, they have placed a higher value on regionality and ecological production. Among other things, the organic seal is said to have contributed to this. This is confirmed by the latest figures from the Eco-Barometer commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), which was presented today by Federal Minister Julia Klöckner.

In the field of organic products, demand is highest for the classics eggs, fruit and vegetables, followed by potatoes, dairy products, meat and sausage products.
