According to data from the first 11 months of 2020, Russia remains the largest consumer of Uzbek vegetables and fruits in value terms. According to the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, from January-November 2020, Uzbekistan sold 341,900 tons of agricultural products worth $ 243.1 million to the Russian Federation.
Kazakhstan remained the second-largest consumer of agricultural products from Uzbekistan, having imported 592,900 tons of vegetables and fruits worth $238.8 million. This is 25.5% of Uzbekistan’s export of vegetables and fruits.
According to the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in January-November 2020, the volume of fruit and vegetable exports totalled 1,39 mln tons, exceeding $936.3 million in revenues.
Compared to the same period in 2019, horticultural exports declined by 17.8%. Besides, Uzbekistan exported 707,700 tons of vegetables worth $358.7 million and 381.800 tons of fruits and berries worth $339.2 million. The decline rate of exports in value terms, compared to the same period in 2019, equalled 18.4% and 12% respectively.
