Philippe Strajusak, Oliver:

"We have just received the Peruvian and South African seedless grapes"

Oliver, an import company specialized in exotic and off-season products, has just started the marketing of seedless grapes from Peru and South Africa: "We received the first pallets this week. They are good products that will develop gradually. We are still at the beginning of the season, so it will still take a bit of time for things to settle down," says Oliver's Philippe Strajusak.

Since Spain, Italy and Portugal are at the end of their seasons, the wholesaler has stopped marketing the fruit of Spanish origin in order to guarantee a reliable level of quality to its customers. "We prefer to reduce our volumes and offer only quality products, even more so during the holiday season, when quality is even more important for our customers." Given the sustained demand and small volumes available, prices are currently rather high.

Oliver supplies grapes almost all year round. "We start with Spain in August, then continue with Peru and South Africa, whose fruit will be marketed for the next 3-4 months, and finish with Chile and Israel around June."
