According to the Moroccan Ambassador in Abidjan, Abdelmalek Kettani, Morocco is set to strengthen its trade in the agri-food sector with the nation of Ivory Coast.
"Morocco and Ivory Coast are fully engaged in a process of south-south cooperation which has proved its worth. Today, there is talk of a project for a logistics platform for the export and import of agri-food products between our two countries," said Kettani.
This will consist of exporting Ivorian products to Morocco and vice versa. In addition to Morocco, he went on, the project provides for 182 destinations for Ivorian products, from the port of Tangier Med, the first port on the African continent.
The Moroccan ambassador also stressed Morocco's willingness to boost the export of certain agricultural products from Ivory Coast, in particular bananas, papaya, pineapple, mango and all agri-food products.
