Dole names new president of fresh vegetables division

Dole Food Company has promoted Timothy Escamilla to president of Dole Fresh Vegetables. As division president, Escamilla will develop and implement a strategic plan for sustainable growth and create a shared vision and culture for continued financial success.

Escamilla will be taking over for Michael Solomon, who will be departing Dole. Over his tenure Solomon has been instrumental in retooling the operational foundation and performance of the division, building a great leadership team and providing a path for smooth succession, according to Dole.

“I would like to thank Michael for his leadership in directing our team and their outstanding performance across Dole Fresh Vegetables,” said Johan Linden, Dole Food Company’s president and CEO. “And I am very excited to have Timothy now transition in and deliver continuity for the division and our partner customers.”

Escamilla has more than 25 years of senior-level agricultural industry and operations experience at Dole and other produce organizations.

“I am energized to continue that legacy but, more importantly, excited to further improve the business on behalf of our customers, shareholders, grower partners and most valued employees,” Escamilla said. “I believe Dole Fresh Vegetables is positioned for phenomenal growth and leveraging the strength of the Dole brand to remain the premier provider of value-added fresh foods will continue to be our goal.”
