Chilean cherry production increased this season

Chinese fruit shops recently began to stock their shelves with fresh Chilean cherries. These delicious cherries soon attract the attention of Chinese consumers. One spokesperson of XF Fruit explained that Chilean cherries usually spend 36-47 days at sea before they reach China. XF Fruit personnel, however, personally connect with Chilean cherry orchards to purchase cherries, which are harvested in the morning, packaged immediately, and then loaded onto chartered flights. This is to guarantee the freshest Chilean cherries for XF Fruit customers.

The Chilean cherries are quite large and plump. The cherry skin is bright and red like cornelian. The sweet and sour flavors are perfectly balanced, and the cherries are juicy. This is by far the most popular fruit consumed during the autumn and winter. "The production volume of Chilean cherries increased this year. The cherries are firmer and sweeter than last year. We have well-established partners in Chile who can supply top-quality cherries from November until March in the subsequent year." This is according to the XF Fruit spokesperson.

Customers enjoy Chilean cherries

Cherries currently dominate the import fruit market in China. Cherries come from the USA, Canada, Turkey, and some Central Asian countries during the period from May until August, but the market belongs to Chile in the autumn and winter. The peak period of Chilean cherry sales in China takes place between November and February in the subsequent year. This year all cherries have to pass through customs due to the risk of Covid-19 infections. Each shipment is sampled and tested before the cherries are allowed to enter the wholesale fruit markets in China.
