"Open your eyes, Enjoy!"

Cítricos Valencianos participates in a campaign to promote products with quality seals

The Citricos Valencianos PGI is participating in the  “Open your eyes, Enjoy!” campaign promoted by ORIGEN ESPAÑA and the European Commission. The goal of the campaign is to inform consumers about the advantages of consuming agri-food products with quality seals so that they can recognize them and understand their meaning and value. This promotional initiative has been working for three years and is co-financed by the European Union.

“This campaign is a great opportunity to introduce consumers to the characteristics of the citrus from the community of Valencia, as well as the advantages that certified and differentiated products such as our products offer," stated Jose Enrique Sanz, the managing director of Citricos Valencianos PGI.

"This campaign will allow us to get closer to consumers so that they get to know first-hand the qualities of Valencian citrus fruits and  differentiate them from those of third countries," Sanz added.

“The 'Open your eyes, enjoy!' campaign will have a budget of close to one million euro, 70% of which will be financed by the EU. The campaign will launch a series of strategic actions to promote the 'culture of European differentiated quality schemes' that guarantee the excellence, quality, and origin of some of the most recognized products in Spanish gastronomy,” the manager of Cítricos Valencianos stated.

"In addition, this campaign will give visibility to foods with PDO and PGI. The next step is for consumers to recognize the logos of the quality seals so that they have a broader knowledge of the characteristics of the products covered under these brands. ”
