The 2020 International Cherry Tree Seminar will be held online on November 17 and 18. The event will bring together national and international cherry experts, as well as exporters and producers from the main cherry producing countries, who will analyze technical and commercial issues that will allow having a global vision of this industry in these crucial moments of the pandemic. Chile, the world's leading cherry exporter, will host this year's event.
The seminar, organized by PEC Chile, is part of a series of seminars that the organization has been conducting for more than 8 years. The goal is to contribute to the entire cherry community by sharing information on technologies and innovation that makes improves this fruit's production and profitability over time, boosting associative capacity, strengthening human capital, and improving the sector's competitiveness.
More than 400 attendees and 40 companies attended the seminar's 2019 version, where the Minister of Agriculture represented Chile's public entities. The event will be held online because of the pandemic and it is expected that it will be attended by more than 2,000 participants worldwide, making this year's version the most attended version.
