“Retailers wishes are getting more specific. The amount of data in food and fruit and vegetable companies is rising fast too. You want to efficiently and flawlessly meet not only your clients' demands," Luc Meijs' says, in opening a webinar. "you want to do so while meeting the growing demands regarding legislation and regulations too. That's why the grip on master data is becoming increasingly important." A Dutch company, Thysia hosted the webinar on data management in the fruit and vegetable sector.
Data management - how do we deal with it?
It's an indisputable fact, but how do we tackle it? According to Kristian de Lange, Thysia's director, many companies are trying to find a way to do so. "Data management processes often fall through the cracks. It happens a lot in Excel and when using e-mail."
"Think, for example, of creating a new supplier, client or item. These kinds of processes involve different departments and systems. That's why they aren't suited to be added to an ERP system. Nor is it an option to purchase a separate system for each task. Then you get islands of automation."

Thysia has a different vision and approach. You can complement your ERP. That can do done using a Business Process Management platform. The kinds of processes mentioned can be quickly and flexibly solved.
Pepijn Broekman presented a real-life example. It was a case at a fast-growing food company. '"There, we've realized many data management solutions within the 'smart data' program. For the line operators, it all comes together in a simple portal."
"They quickly have the correct information at hand. The company's high-quality standards are, therefore, always guaranteed." Pepijn showed the progression of the client's journey in recent years and how it will continue.

Thysia recently translated its practical experience into a set of standard solutions. "Think of it as a jumpstart for your data management," Remco van der Gaag explained. "We now have applications available for managing suppliers, bank accounts, clients, and delivery addresses. These are common issues at fruit and vegetable companies."
‘Our clients are pleased that they to didn't need to reinvent the wheel. We offer an easy solution with a 30-day trial period," Luc Meijs says, concluding the webinar, which was brought to people's attention via AGF.nl.
