C. Meijer BV now Meijer Potato

Dutch potato company turns 100

Meijer Potato was founded in 1920 by Kees (Cornelis) Meijer Senior. It was called C. Meijer BV. In September, this company celebrates in 100th anniversary. The coronavirus pandemic, however, means this milestone can't be commemorated in the way Meijer Potato would like.

Nevertheless, the company would like to present its new name, look, and website to its clients. Choosing a new name is partly to underline the business' international character. After all, 90% of Meijer Potato's trade's done outside of the Netherlands.

The autumn business relation days will still go ahead, just a little differently. The open days at Meijer Potato's head office in Rilland will be on 4-6 November. These will also take on a different character.

Meijer Potato not only changed its name. They reworded their mission, vision, and core values too. These can be found on their website and the company's brochures. These are also in offices and at trade shows.
