Bruce Lin exhibits oil paintings in Hallenburg City Hall

From ginger importer to artist

Bruce Lin was born in Taiwan in 1960. He has lived in Rotterdam since 1989 and is active with Euro Pacific as an importer of ginger, garlic, apples and pears from China. However, Bruce has another passion: painting. In 2016 he was admitted to the Prince Alexander Art Academy and has already exhibited his works in Taiwan in the Netherlands.

The first exhibition took place in 2019 in Papenburg, Germany. This year there will be an exhibition in the Hallenberg City Hall (near Frankfurt). The 'blooming landscapes' exhibition opened on 26 June and will last until March 2021. The opening was originally planned for 15 March, but had to be postponed due to the Corona pandemic.

A number of top representatives from the art world and politics from Taiwan were also present at the opening. The delegation was led by Ambassador Prof. Dr. Dr. Shieh and the director of Taiwan Economic Department Robert Ho from Frankfurt.

The oil paintings feature representations of nature and landscapes. During the exhibition Bruce donated an oil painting called Stay at Home (60x80 cm) for charity. Hallenberg Mayor Michael Kronauge is making the auction possible to develop the art development of local children.
