Several projects around organic farming for Idyl this year

With the conversion to organic plots, obtaining the organic certification for one of its sites, the launch of a new graphic charter under the auspices of eco-friendly values, 2020 is marked by many projects around organic farming and eco-responsibility for the company Idyl.

Organic products currently represent 21% of the volumes marketed by the company
In 2011, a major strategic shift took place for Idyl with the development of an organic offer and the desire to create partnerships with local producers. The goal: setting up a Provençal organic sector structured for the benefit of consumers, producers and the environment. A largely validated increase since organic products now represent 21% of the volumes marketed by the company.

From 2017, Idyl accelerated its development strategy in organic farming by acquiring a new farm at La Crau de Châteaurenard (Bouches-du-Rhône) in order to convert it immediately. Idyl Provence was born.

After three years of conversion, 2020 marks an important turning point for the company. Indeed, on July 22nd, all vegetables produced at the site in the Provence will have the Organic Farming certification. It is the highlight of this year.

In parallel, Idyl continues its expansion in organic production, by converting its palm grove in Morocco as well.

Simple packaging that appeals to consumers

The organic brand Tribu Ecolo has a new packaging this year. This new graphic charter manifests itself in a packaging that is simplified to the maximum, with more kraft, less color and less ink for a more natural look. The packaging is therefore better adapted to the environmental requirements and new regulations.

Consumers appreciate the simplicity of this new packaging, in line with eco-responsible values.

In parallel, Idyl noted an increase favorable to organic consumption during the health crisis. And it remains undeniable now, even as the lockdown is being lifted. The organic volumes sold remain significant.
