The new platform from FPC, Onyourdoorstep.shop, which matches suppliers of fresh produce is proving a valuable tool in helping suppliers reach new customers.
Over 80 suppliers across the country have registered already and are delivering fresh produce including fruit and veg, meat, eggs, dairy and bakery products to a multitude of customers. In the last month the site has had over 20,000 visits, with users saying they are finding the service easy to use.
Onyourdoorstep.shop was launched over a month ago by the Fresh Produce Consortium to help the fresh produce supply chain keep moving across the UK. It provides a free of charge service for suppliers of fresh produce to connect them with customers in the areas of the UK in which they can deliver.
“We encourage suppliers across the UK to sign up and take advantage of this valuable free service where we can connect them with local customers,” explained Nigel Jenney, Chief Executive of FPC.
Suppliers using the site report that this new direct approach to the consumer is proving invaluable. They predict it will bring long term sales growth for the independent sector.
