Sfax-Tripoli direct shipping line for Tunisian fruit exports

In cooperation with the TunShip Maritime Company, Fruit Inter-professional Grouping (GIF) has launched a direct shipping line between the ports of Sfax and Tripoli (Libya) that will be operational as of April 26. This was announced in Monday press release from the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries.

The launch of this 48-hour line is part of the preparations of the current export season of fresh and seasonal fruits to the Libyan market, in a context of closed land borders with Libya and Algeria due to the global spread of the COVID-19.

According to the same press release, the loading prices are set at $1.525 (276 millimes per kg) for normal containers (15-16 tonnes) and at $3.350 (607 millimes/kg) for refrigerated containers (15-16 tonnes).
