Changes at the top at CHEP Europe:

David Cuenca succeeds Michael Pooley as President

CHEP has announced a change at the top of its European business. Brambles has appointed David Cuenca, who currently manages the company's operations in Latin America, as the new President of CHEP Europe effective July 1, 2020. He will succeed Michael Pooley, who is stepping down after more than 17 years with the company.

Graham Chipchase, CEO of Brambles, said: "We are pleased to introduce David as the new President of CHEP Europe. He has been President of CHEP Latin America since July 2018 and has done an outstanding job in this role. David has led the team there through a period of significant business, commercial and cultural change, deepening relationships with our key customers and bringing momentum to the teams. He is highly respected by both his colleagues and our clients".

"During his five-year term as President of CHEP EMEA and President of CHEP Europe, Michael Pooley has led the region through a period of strong growth and expansion. He has built a diverse, value-based corporate culture and has placed employee development at all levels at the forefront. Mike leaves a great legacy. All of us in the Brambles family will miss him and we wish him and his family well for the future," said Graham Chipchase, commenting on Michael Pooley's retirement.

David Cuenca has been with Brambles since 2000. He has served in a variety of executive positions over the past several years, including Country General Manager of CHEP Central Europe, Vice President and Country General Manager of CHEP in Spain and Portugal, and Vice President of CHEP Southern Europe. David Cuenca is a Spanish citizen and holds a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona. He has also completed a General Management Program at the IESE Business School.

David Cuenca says: "I am very pleased to return to CHEP Europe. It is a privilege and honor to lead such a talented group of people. We will focus on supporting our customers in rapidly evolving supply chains. We have a strong portfolio of products and services and work with leading customers and partners in all markets. Building on this foundation, we will together lead CHEP Europe successfully into the future".
