Fresh Produce Instruments has found a solution for European ripeners and quality control managers involved in the management of ethylene within ripening rooms for fresh produce: The Easy-Ripe®Generator and Ethy-Gen® II Ripening Concentrate.
With specially formulated liquid Ethy-Gen® II, the Easy-Ripe® Generator easily makes only as much ethylene as needed for a target room, eliminating the need to store large quantities of compressed gas on site. The portable ethylene generator features an adjustable eight-setting output dial which allows for adaption to any ethylene PPM requirement or room size. Quality control managers can move the Easy-Ripe® Generator from room to room, as needed.
Ethy-Gen® II is available in one-liter bottles which are easily poured into the large two-liter reservoir of the Easy-Ripe® Generator. Ethy-Gen® II’s active ingredient is all-natural, GMO-free, and is the only “ripening fluid” approved by both the US EPA and the UK HSE Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD). Manufactured with the purest ingredients available, there are no harmful byproducts produced when the ripening fluid is converted to ethylene.
The generator features a liquid-indicating cap and tank that holds the Ethy-Gen® II Ripening Concentrate; the spill-proof cap integrates a liquid level indicator, making it easy to know how much Ethy-Gen® II is in the tank. Ethylene output is adjustable for multiple room sizes, which means the Easy-Ripe® can adapt to any ethylene PPM requirements. For larger rooms, additional units easily achieve proper ethylene levels. Users can quickly determine whether a unit is working by checking the operation status green or red indicator light on the side of the generator. A slightly sweet smell is produced from the generator as a result of ethylene production, as well.
