"Quality of New Zealand Breeze apples is better than last year"

The new production season of New Zealand Breeze apples is already underway. Yumsun has been actively promoting New Zealand Breeze apples in the wholesale markets and supermarkets of major Chinese cities for several years now. Market feedback shows that Chinese consumers are extremely pleased with this apple variety.

Fion Lin of Yumsun recently provided an analysis of current conditions in the New Zealand apple industry: "The Breeze apple supply volume expanded this year. The overall production volume is around 250 shipping containers. In addition to an overall production growth, the Breeze apples also improved in terms of product quality. The taste is even better than the last production season. The Breeze apple harvest officially started in February, as it did in previous years. The production season is expected to last until April. The size of the apples also falls within regular parameters, although the amount of large apples is quite big this year."

Conditions in the apple market are quite different this year compared to last year. According to Fion Lin's explanation, "this year will prove quite challenging to all import fruits, but as far as particular apple varieties such as the New Zealand Breeze are concerned, we are still optimistic. The Breeze apples enter the Chinese market somewhat earlier than domestic apples enter the market. This gives the New Zealand Breeze a strategic advantage in the Chinese fruit market. However, current conditions in the apple market are quite different from last year. The domestic production volume greatly declined last year, which caused the price of import apples to reach new heights. This year, however, the tables have turned. China has huge apple reserves. The warehouses are stocked with apples and this guarantees that the apple market will develop differently this year."

"As for the retail conditions of New Zealand apples, the apples are still quite popular with Chinese consumers. Wholesale markets are facing a trying ordeal to maintain apple trade during the COVID-19 epidemic. Consumers try to avoid going out to minimize the risk of infection. They are more inclined to order online and have fruit delivered, instead of going to the supermarket. Chinese consumers are also more aware of the health benefits of fresh fruit and they pay more attention to nutrients in apples as well as the production area where the apples come from. The product quality of our Breeze apples is great and the apples have an excellent flavor. We believe that we can satisfy Chinese consumers with the unique crisp and sweet flavor of New Zealand apples."

"Although distribution is gradually recovering from initial quarantine measures, it will still take some time before all transport difficulties are resolved. Yumsun has more than enough experience to adequately respond to changing circumstances and we are prepared for a variety of challenges. We work hard to make sure our products safely arrive in the hands of our customers and we take extra steps to guarantee a stable supply to the Chinese market."
