Spain and the Netherlands, new markets for the Peruvian company
Latin American Fruits SAC, which specializes in the commercialization of fruits, will increase its presence internationally next year as it will enter new markets, including the Netherlands and Spain, where they will send mangoes and blueberries, according to its general manager, Jose Barges Vidal.
Currently, the company has in its portfolio the Red Globe and ARRA 15 grapes and Hass avocado (their star products), as well as the Kent mango, blueberry, and mandarins, which it markets under its Mariba brand.
“Our commitment is to provide a quality offer and that is why we take care of traceability from the field until the product is delivered to the customer. We have certifications that guarantee the products' quality, such as BRC Food Certificated, Global GAP, Linking Environment and Farming (LEAF), among others,” Barges said.
The company has a presence in China, where it dispatches grapes and avocados; Mexico, Colombia, and the United States (where it ships grapes, avocados, and mangoes), Canada (avocado), the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Latin American Fruits SAC works hand in hand with small, medium, and large farmers on the coast and highlands of Peru. "We would like to maintain this link because that way we contribute to improving their quality of life, but we would also like to acquire blueberry and avocado fields in the long term," Barges said.
Mariba's production is controlled by its team in each of the links in the chain: pruning, fertilization, irrigation, phytosanitary treatments, and other aspects. The harvest takes place at the optimum time and it is always directly supervised by the company's quality team.
The executive said his company will maintain its commitment to quality, respect for the environment, and food safety, which are the fundamental principles of all of their activities.
